Part Three (20 points; 5 points each) will consist of brief (about two- to three- sentence) identification of key terms. From a list of six terms on the exam, you will be asked to define four. You will provide a brief definition and indicate the significance of each item for the interpretation of the NT. These terms will be drawn from the list appended below. Example: Muratorian Canon. Part One (40 points; 2 points each) will consist of Scripture identification. Given a list of twenty-one excerpts drawn from the writings of Romans-Revelation, you will be asked to identify the book (not the chapter or verses) from which twenty of those quotations are taken. Texts will be cited in the NRSV.

In Part Two (15 points; 5 points each) you will be asked to choose three of the scriptural excerpts you identified in Part One. For each of these three, you will offer brief (about two- to three-sentence) comments on the significance of the passage for understanding major themes of the document and/or the theology of the author.
