PSYC3052: Judgement & Decision Making

You will learn to apply theories in judgement and decision making to real-world situations, such as high-stakes decision making in fields like medicine, law, and education, and evaluate the decision-making processes involved. You will also develop strategies for improving your own decision-making abilities by avoiding common biases and heuristics and enhancing your ability to identify these biases. Furthermore, you will learn about advanced topics such as group decision making and nudging, the impact of brain training, transfer, and mental representations on expertise, and how to distinguish between fact and fiction.
