Halò a chàirdean! I’m so happy you’ve decided to learn Gaelic! When I started my learning journey, it felt like I would never get the hang of this beautiful yet complex language. Whilst I’m definitely still a beginner, maybe an advanced beginner, I definitely have enough Gaelic to converse with people on a wide range of subjects and to understand a lot of written text! It hasn’t taken me too long to get to this point, about 18 months, but sometimes what I struggle with is the simple things such as months of the year and colours. I hope these cards can help you to feel more confident with the basics, and as you see your progress, that you keep learning a little each day. Don’t forget, a little progress is better than no progress. I’ve had my days where I’ve felt like I’ve hit a wall and wanted to give up, but I’m so glad I didn’t.
