A guy line shall be attached to the tip of the fly section by passing the end of a lifeline over the top rung, and tying a clove hitch and safety around the rope hanging down. Personnel standing on the ground shall pull all slack from the rope. Tension shall be maintained on the guy line in the direction from which the wind is blowing.
Control levers are moved slowly and evenly
It is much safer; very little time is gained by multiple operations
