All complaints coming to the attention of an employee shall be reported to
The employees immediate supervisor
A supervisor discovering an infraction shall
Determine whether to proceed through the formal complain process as a class I or II complaint or as a Supervisor Intervention.
Upon determining that a class I complaint is alleged, the supervisor shall;
Formalize and forward the complaint to the internal affairs division / central intake office. Includes if complainant can not complete sworn affidavits ie incapacitated or intoxicated. If unsure call internal affairs division or on call IAD Lt via command center.
