A

Remove
1, Menu
2, Journey screen
3, Edit stops
4, press symbol next to station to remove.

You can not add additional stops if not included in default stopping pattern. You can reinstate previously removed stops

What are your actions?

A

Reduce power taken.
Press wheelslip button. Not over points or crossings.
Sand is automatically applied on braking.

When leaving Twyford stationary PAU is pulled, what are your actions?

What indications would you have that a PAU has been pulled?

A

Stop immediately(in case of trap and drag), foot on switch to cancel alarm. (If not presses within 5 seconds - brake will apply)
EC on intercom - ‘this is the driver speaking, please state your emergency’
Get guard to sort problem.

Audible alarm in cab. The EC button on comms panel will flash.
The TMS will indicate vehicle number and location.

Make note of location before putting down phone.

What process needs to be followed at a neutral section?

What process to be followed, if this process is not affected?

A

When passing through a neutral section, do not take power. You do not need to lower the Pantographs.

If Line light does not reilluminate and VCB extinguish. You can make one attempt to establish line light. By pressing electric button.

A

1, secure train, DRA on, DDS to N.
2, emergency/priority call to signaller.
3, press SPAD button on TPWS panel to stop alarm.
4, when signaller gives authority, press SPAD button and brake release button simultaneously to get brake release.
5, do not move unless authorised by signaller.

How does it work?
What are its parameters?

A

1, by pressing snow brake button
2, prevents friction braking equipment from freezing. By generating friction/heat
3, avaliable below 4oc , train speed is above 12 mph. ( snow brake applied - on brake gauge screen)
4, deactivates after 30 minutes continuous use, when snow brake button is pressed and removed at 10oc for more than 4 minutes.

What is the coupling procedure?

A

1,Stop at six feet.
2,Press the forward prep button.
3,Disengage train wash and exit train to carry out pre coupling checks
4, return to can and re-engage teain wash
5, draw forward to 2 feet.
6, draw forward and couple up
7, carry out tug test
8, disengage train wash
9, check/amend TMS/SDO information.
10, release doors if appropriate
11, press blue couple button for 5 seconds
12, Exit can and carry out post coupling checks.
13, check TMS for new formation.
14, move DDS to off and remove key.

Meet pilot at entry signal.

Complete ticket. With pilot and follow instructions.

Use NTS’s to follow instructions. Crossing off stops. Write complete through ticket when completed.

Follow instructions for crossings on tickets.

A

1, to pass multiple signals at danger.
2, no pilot like TBW, complete ESW with signaller. Temp isolate TPWS, follow instructions on ticket.
3, 50 mph & 15 mph over points. Slow down for crossings be prepared to stop. Passengers if clear.
