Definition Conflict resolution

Voluntary dispute resolution for resolving disputes using 3rd party to reach a resolution
Definition Discrimination
An act, or practice or pattern of behavior based on the protected classes which has an adverse impact on an individual or identifiable group compared to the impact of members of other identifiable groups. NOTE: can be broken down into adverse impact and disparate treatment.
Definition Adverse Impact
Employment practices that appear neutral but have a disproportionately negative effect on a protected class. Ex. substantially diff rate in hiring/promoting which works to the disadvantage of a protected class.
Note: May be unintentional. usually to a group
Definition Disparate treatment
Intentionally treated differently from other similarly situated members of a protected class.
NOTE: Usually individually based
Definition Harassment
Unreasonably interfering with an individuals work performance OR creates a hostile/offensive environment. Includes persistently annoying or derogatory comments jokes/pic/etc
