What is a transistor?
A high speed electronic switch. It has 3 legs and is a process device. A transistor is a semi-conductor; when switched OFF it insulates. when switched ON it conducts.
When does the transistor switch ON?
It switches ON when the base V (V Base) is greater than 0.6V.
What are the different legs on a transistor and what are they used for?
The Base leg is the switch, when it switches on it allows current to flow from Collector to emitter, this turning on an output device.
