What is Error?
Defined as the difference between the desired output and actual output
Different types of Feedback
Positive
Adds the achieved output to the desired output
Negative
Subtracts the achieved output to the desired output
Transient Response
Response of a system to a change from an equilibrium or to a steady state
Stability
An output is under control. A stable system produces a bounded output for a given bounded input.
Examples:
Example of Overdamped System Response

Example of an Underdamped System Response

Example of a Marginally Stable or Underdamped System Reponse

Example of an Unstable (Oscillating) System Response

Example of an Unstable (Non-oscillating) System Response
