A
  1. Fire Warning or Severe Damage.
  2. Sudden loss of thrust.
  3. Malfunction or conditions that give unambigious indications that the aircraft will not fly safely.
  4. Any red ECAM.
  5. Any of the 5 Cautions
    * ENG Fail
    * ENG Rev Unlocked
    * ENG Rev Fault
    * ENG Thr Lever Fault
    * F/CTRL Sidestick Fault

A

Flight Crew Observes two or more of the following:
* Rapid increase of EGT above red line.
* Important mismatch of rotor speeds or absence of rotation.
* Significant increase of A/C vibrations. buffeting, or both.
* Hydraulic system loss
* Repeated or uncontrollable engine stalls.

Nose High UA Recovery

A
  • Recognize & Confirm Situation
  • Disconnect AP & A/THR
  • Adjust Thrust
  • Adjust roll (not to exceed 67º)
  • Recover to level flight

Note: Excessive use of pitch trim could make the upset condition worse or may result in high structural loads.

Nose Down UA Recovery

A
  • Recognize and confirm situation
  • Disconnect AP & A/THR
  • Recover from stall if req’d
  • Adjust roll in shortest direction to wings level.
  • Adjust the thrust and drag.
  • Recover to level flight.

Note: Excessive use of pitch trim could make the upset condition worse or may result in high structural loads.
