APU GCU

APU electrical generation

A

APU Generator Control Unit

Transform acts as a voltage regulator and a rectifier, it converts the AC current of the PMG (Permanent Magnet Generator) from the APU Generator, and transfers it to the exciter. It regulates the exciter current which in returns variate the main rotor output of the APU generator.
