ROUTE/DOSE:
METOPROLOL (Lopressor)
IV/PO - Adult: 3 bolus injections of 5 mg at 2 minute intervals FOLLOWED BY 50 mg PO q6 hours for 48 hours; FOLLOWED BY 10 mg bid
PO: 12.5-100 mg bid
NURSING CARE FOR:
METOPROLOL (Lopressor)
** Client must be on ECG monitoring
** Monitor BP & Pulse BEFORE and DURING administration
