18
Q

flap operating range

A

19
Q

what is the wing span of the areoplane

20
Q

what systems are hydraulically operated

21
Q

why procedures are followed when a hydraulic system failure is suspected

A

Pump the brakes to get as much pressure as possible

22
Q

what are the sources of electrical power

A

28v direct current system powered by a 60 amp alternator

23
Q

What is the Dc system voltage

24
Q

Can external power be used

A

Ground power unit can be used aslong as the avionics power is off.

plug in via lower left cowling plate.

25
battery and external power locations
Left side of firewall lower left side cowling plate
26
how can the battery supply emergency power
1 hour because the 28v system is a 14A battery and 14 Amps is used in an hour
27
Following alternator failure in flight which non essential electric services should be switched off
All
28
If a stall warning is fitted, is it electrical or mechanical
Mechanical pneumatic type
29
how is the cockpit ventilated
Pulling cabin air knob and air vents
30
how is the cockpit heated
cabin heating knob. heat exchange heats clean air pipes
31
does the aircraft have a heater
no
32
pressurization system
N/A
33
Location of elt
Switch: right side of cockpit device at back right of baggage section
34
first aid kit
baggage area seat pocket
35
Where are the pitot heads, static vents and any water drain points
Pitot: left side of the wing Drain: Behind the pitot Static system: located left side of cowling near cockpit door
36
is there a pitot heat system
yes
37
Is there an alternate static source fitted if so 1. where is this located 2.what is the purpose of this system 3. if used, what effect does it have on pressure instruments
1. adjacent to the throttle 2. if static port is blocked alternate static can be used 3. cabin pressure varies lower speeds = higher degree of inaccuracy
38
which flight instruments operate electrically
Turn coordinator
39
which flight instruments are gyroscopically operated
artificial horizon, directional indicator, turn coordinator
40
Which instruments are operated by vacuum
artificial horizon, directional indicator.
41
why do we want carb heat in CFM check
This is because there is no longer any power running to the engine meaning the heat exchange won’t be heating so we use carb heat to use the heat we do have before the heat exchange goes cold
