Q1- qualification
the aircrew member demonstrated desired performance and knowledge of procedure, equip and directives within tolerances specified in the grading criteria. this will be awarded when no discrepancies were noted but may be awarded when discrepancies are noted if:
- No “U” grades were awarded for any discrepancy are/subarea
- in the judgment of the Flt examiner, none of the discrepancies precede awarding of an overall Q1
-All areas/subareas graded as Q- during the evaluation were cleared during the debrief of the evaluation.
Q2- qualification
The aircrew ember demonstrated the ability to perform duties safely, but:
-There were one or more areas/subareas where additional raining was assigned.
-A non-critical area/subarea graded of “U” was awarded.
- In the judgement of the Flt examiner, a Q2 may be given based on Q- performance in one or several areas/subareas.
Q3- qualification
the aircrew member demonstrated an unacceptable level of safety, performance or knowledge.
-Any critical area graded “U” requires an overall Q3 (applicable to both Flt evals and EPE)
-In the judgement of the Flt examiner, a Q3 may be given if there is justification based on Q-/U performance in one or several non-critical areas/subareas
An overall grade of Q1 or Q2 will be given only after all evals requirements (to include requisite examinations) have been completed and given due consideration.

An Exceptionally Qualified (EQ) may be given when:
-The aircrew member ha demonstrated exceptional skills and knowledge in all phases of the evaluation
-The aircrew member has not failed any requisite and:
-The aircrew member receded a Q- on all areas subareas evaluated.
After the initial qual, an aircrew member is required to complete a MSN Qual every 17 months;
- The phase will begin in the 11th month, and close out at the end of the 17th month
- Open and close book testing should be completed as early in the evaluation window as possible, to ensure both are completed with a passing score before the MSN Qual.
Continuation Training
For ground/mobility currency, either ask ARMS for an ITS printout, or log into the AF portal.

- Aircrew pro sorties is every 45 days; 6 events semiannually (time oriented)
- NVG sortie is every 60 days; 6 events semiannually (time oriented)
-Short Field Day/Night T/O Landings is 6 events of each semiannually (number oriented)

Chapter 3 - airlift
- Tactical, Contingency, or Emergency Airlift
- Exceptions for DOD, Federal agencies, allies, etc.
- Only done with validated operational requirements
- There are 9 hazardous materials under the UN classification system
- each hazard class has its own label
- Hazard classifications are based on chemical and physical characteristics of material and its reaction under various test conditions
- hazardous materials must have the appropriate label applied consistent with its hazard classification, unless labeling is exempted by regulation
