Notice of Ammo Reclassification. Notifies changes in the serviceability, status or condition of ammunition, components and related materials.
Ammunition Information Notice. Provides amplifying information applicable to specific ammunition and frequently includes safety related info.
Overhead Fire. This advisory identifies items as cleared or not cleared for delivery over the heads of unprotected personnel located anywhere in the surface danger zone during training and range exercises or during combat operations.
Navy Ammunition Logistics Code. Even though each item has its own unique NIIN and NSN for item management purposes, items that are interchangeable as to from, fit, function and use are assigned a four digit, family-unique DODIC or NALC.
Department of Defense Identification Code. Items that are assigned a DODIC are normally common items used by more than one military service.
Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures. A uniform procedure established by the DOD for use within DOD to govern requisition and issue of material.
NAVSEA OP-4 and OP-5. Also the NAVSEA SW020-AC-SAF-010 and P-802.
CAD -Cartridge Actuated Device. PAD -Propellant Actuated Device.
National Stock Number. The 13-digit stock number consisting of the 4-digit Federal Supply Classification (FSC) code plus the 9-digit National Item Identification Number (NIIN).
Cognizance Symbol. Two-digit numeric-alphabetic code symbol preceding an NSN, which identifies ammunition, supply item, its inventory manager, and the stores account in which carried.
Material Control Code. A code assigned to selected items of ammunition to designate applicability to Serial and Lot Item Tracking (SLIT) and the type of tracking to be performed.
Activity Classification Code. Single Alpha code indicating the intended use of the ammunition stocks carried by activities (whether for own use or issue), auxiliaries and aviation support activities.
CONDITION CODE ALPHA
A means Serviceable (Issue Without Qualification)
CONDITION CODE BRAVO
B means Serviceable (Issuable with Qualification)
CONDITION CODE CHARLIE
C means Serviceable (Priority Issue)
CONDITION CODE T
T means Serviceable Ammunition that is capable of performing as designed or as intended under limited or restricted conditions.
CONDITION CODE DELTA
D means Serviceable (Test/Modification) that requires Navy acceptance test and inspection.
CONDITION CODE ECHO
E means Unserviceable (Limited Restoration) that can be restored to serviceable condition through the accomplishment of Organizational or Intermediate Level Maintenance.
CONDITION CODE FOXTROT
F means Unserviceable (Repairable) that can be restored to serviceable condition through the accomplishment of Depot Level Maintenance.
CONDITION CODE GULF
G means Unserviceable (incomplete) requiring additional parts or components to complete the end item prior to restoration or issue.
CONDITION CODE HOTEL
H means Unserviceable (Condemned) that has been determined to be unserviceable and does not meet repair criteria.
