The British liked the idea of a stronger Germany- hitler made it clear he wanted to defeat communism. Many felt Germany had been treated unfairly. British public didn’t want to go to war in 1938. Chamberlain would do anything to prevent war after ww1. Britain didn’t have allies. Gave Britain time to rearm.
