• dilation of arterioles and veins
• prevents pathologic changes in cardiac structure (remodeling)
• decreases release of aldosterone
• does not inhibit kinase II

Indications?

HTN, HF, MI, diabetic nephropathy, protect against MI, stroke, and death from CV causes in high risk patients.

Adverse effects?

Answer 4

angioedema, fetal harm, renal failure (d/t renal stenosis)

-Does not cause hyperkalemia or cough

pregnant and pts with renal artery stenosis
