Q

What does VMI stand for?

A

Developmental Test of Visual-Motor Integration

20
Q

What is the purpose of the VMI?

A

3-part assessment of Visual Perception, Motor Coordination, and Visual-Motor Integration. The test measures a person’s visual and motor skills in context of fine motor activities and identifies performance issues in these areas.

21
Q

What is the test procedure for the VMI?

A

Participant copies pre-drawn shapes, identify matching pictures and draw assigned shapes within lines. 2 subtests (VP 3min and MC 5min) are timed.

22
Q

What age range is the VMI used for?

23
Q

How long does it take to administer the VMI?

24
Q

What does DTVP-III stand for?

A

Developmental Test of Visual Perception, 3rd ed.

25
What is the purpose of the DTVP-III?
assess visual perception and visual motor integration in children
26
What is the general procedure for giving the DTVP-III?
Have the child perform the various subtests using the pencil and the booklet; 5 subtests: eye-hand coordination, copying, figure-ground, visual closure, form constancy
27
What age is the DTVP for?
4yrs - 12yrs 11mos
28
How long does it take to administer the DTVP?
30-60 minutes
29
What does SPM stand for?
Sensory Processing Measure
30
What is the purpose of SPM?
Using 3 integrated rating scales, the SPM measures sensory processing, praxis, and social participation
31
What is the general procedure for giving the SPM?
Test scores social participation, vision, hearing, touch, taste and smell, body awareness, balance and motion, and planning and ideas.
32
What is the age range for the SPM?
5-12
33
What is the length of administration for the SPM?
15-20 minutes
34
What is the purpose of the Sensory Profile?
Measures behavioral responses to everyday sensory experiences and provides info regarding the sensory processing of an individual
35
What is the general testing procedure for the sensory profile?
60 question, self-report questionnaire, quadrant scores for 4 domains: low registration, sensation seeking, sensory sensitivity, and sensation avoiding.
36
What is the age range for the sensory profile?
infant/toddler form, 3 - 10 y.o. form, 11+ form
37
What is the length of administration for the sensory profile?
20-30 min
38
What does ETCH stand for?
Evaluation Tool of Children’s Handwriting
39
What is the purpose of the ETCH?
evaluates the manuscript and cursive handwriting skills of students. It assesses handwriting speed and legibility in writing tasks similar to those required of classroom students.
40
What is the test procedure for the ETCH?
student writes out alphabet (uppercase and lowercase) and the numbers 1-0 (also seen: near-point copying, far-point copying, dictation, sentence composition). Therapist scores according to manual
41
Age range for the ETCH?
Grade 1-6
42
What is the length of administration for the ETCH?
15-25 minutes
43
What does TOP stand for?
Test of Playfulness
44
What is the purpose of the TOP?
Assesses a child’s playfulness based on (1) intrinsic motivation, (2) internal control, (3) freedom from constraints of reality, (4) framing
45
What age is it used for?
3mo.-15 y.
46
What is the general testing procedure for the TOP?
20 observational items, scored 0-3 (extent, intensity, skill)- takes 15-20 minutes
