Aim 1 - Research findings
Source 5 - in March 2015, 67% of US adult citizens said that America is ready to elect a female president, this number has dropped significantly to 48% as of October 2025 = this suggests that women face significant prejudice, which is only worsening, when it comes to getting high political roles due to some parts of the country becoming more outdated,
Source1 - where 77% of people that took my survey fully agreed that there isn’t enough women in US politic, meaning they’re a minority and discriminated against, this is because a lot of the US is quite traditional and old fashioned in their views and would be less accommodating of female politicians
Research Findings - Aim2
Source 2 - just under half (49%) of young women aged 18-29 say it does make a difference if you’re a man or a woman when it comes to getting ahead in the workplace, meaning that women feel as if though they’ve got a big disadvantage and face more inequality than men in employment
Source 4 - “American women typically earn 82 cents for every dollar made by men, largely unchanged from 2002.” - indicating that the gender gap for employment is large and that nothing is being done to better it, so, on average, women aren’t getting the same benefits as men in the workplace.
Research findings - Aim3
Source 3 - women’s employment rose steadily from 1970 ton200, moving from 38% employed in 1970 to 75% employed in 2000. It then declined un the Great Recession reaching a bottom of 69% amd rebounding to 73% in 2018, - indicates that the USA hasn’t been successful in bettering gender inequality as progress has stalled, perhaps due to to recent reinforced gender stereotypes.
Source 6 - a survey found that democrats are karge,y dissatisfied with progress on gender equality and 69% say that the country hasn’t gobe far enough when it comes to giving women equal rights to men- implies that a large part of the country feel like the givernment isn’t doung enough about inequality women have to face everyday and more could be done to prevent gender inequality and better equal opportunities
