At the hospital, the Member Tracking Chief and FCL (if on the scene), under the direction of the Staff Chief, will team up and be responsible for the following

• Evaluate the situation and either step-up or reduce response
• Confirm identity of the member and notify the officer in charge of FDOC and the Staff Chief on duty to start the NOK notifications
• Provide periodic updates to FDOC until BHS Medical Officer on duty assumes their responsibility
• Secure a fax machine and number for transmission of NOK information from FDOC
• Notification/Tracking Checklist (NTC-1) will be completed by the Member-Tracking Chief/FCL
• The on duty FCL will make notification to the NOK by phone if transportation of NOK will be delayed
• Request use of 2 rooms at the hospital. One for the family and the other for FD Command Post
