A
  • Positivism is a theoretical approach that considers all valid knowledge to be based on science—specifically on observable, measurable facts and empirical evidence
  • Study the world using facts, patterns and science, don’t put into consideration other factors

Law of Three Stages

A

Stage 1: theological stage
Phenomenon are explained through supernatural forces, gods or spirts
Dictated by god

Stage 2: mata physical stage
Supernatural beings (king, gid) are replaced by abstract entities (economy, law, etc.)
Dictated by lawyers

Stage 3: Positive stage (scientific/factual)
Focus shifts to observable facts, scientific method and discovering natural laws through data
Dictated by men of science

*all based on analysis of the one above (metaphysical stage still puts into consideration theological), everything is added nothing is removed
