Tanking membrane.
Waterproof, membrane formed out of mastic, asphalt or bitumen etc. applied either externally, internally or sandwiched between the basement walls.
What is a Type B Basement?
Monolithic concrete.
The structure itself provides the necessary waterproofing.
What is a Type C Basement?
Drained cavity. Water enters external structure and internal skin of Blockwork/concrete. Cavity with drainage removes and pumps out water.
