• HbA1c every 3-6 months then every 6 months when sugars stable
• Basal bolus management
• 4 times a day check glucose
• Dont stop taking insulin when sick
• Retinopathy screen yearly
• foot check in GP annually and blood tests.
• Lifestyle advice: smoking, alcohol, drug reduction and excercise more
