What are chromosomes?
A
They are found in the nucleus of a cell and made of DNA molecules. Each chromosome carries a large number of genes.

What happens in mitosis?
A
In mitosis one set of chromosomes are pulled to each end of the cell and the nucleus divides then the cytoplasm and cell membranes divide to form two identical cells.
