In a Supine Occiput adjustment - PR/PL, describe the client position, Dr’s stance, Segmental contact, tissue pull, Dr’s point of contact and stabilisation, and Line of Drive.

Client Position: Supine

Dr’s stance: Head of the table, on favouring side.

Segmental contact: lateral ridge of mastoid.

Tissue pull: Superior to inferior

Dr’s point of contact: Thenar eminence of hand on the affected side.

Stabilisation: opposite hand covering occiput - C3-4.

Rotate head slightly away from side of adjustment and slight lateral flex.

LOD: S-I, P-A following the axilla.

In a Supine Atlas PIR/PIL C0 on C1 adjustment, describe the client position, Dr’s stance, Segmental contact, tissue pull, Dr’s point of contact and stabilisation, and Line of Drive.

Client Position: Supine

Dr’s stance: Head of the table, side of listing.

Segmental contact: Lateral posterior aspect of C1 posterior arch.

Tissue pull: Superior to inferior from the mastoid down onto the posterior arch and onto contact.

Dr’s point of contact: DIP or PIP of index finger.

Stabilisation: head and upper cervical.

Step out 45 degrees. Slight lat flex to the same side and rotation away from side of adjustment, slight extension.

LOD: S-I and P-A, L-M towards axilla.

Tissue pull: mastoid on the lateral tip of C1 TVP.

Dr’s point of contact: DIP or PIP of index finger, elbow perpendicular to atlas.

Stabilisation: head and upper cervical.

Step out 45 degrees. Lat flex on the same side and rotation on the same side.

LOD: L-M straight across and slight A-P.

Segmental contact: Posterior, inferior aspect of C1 TVP.

Tissue pull: Posterior arch of atlas to TVP.

Dr’s point of contact: DIP or PIP of index finger, elbow perpendicular to atlas.

Stabilisation: Stabilise opposite occiput to C2 with slight counter pressure.

Step out 45 degrees. Lat flex on the same side and rotation on the same side.

LOD: P-A, L-M, I-S.

Segmental contact: Lamina-pedicle junction on side of vertebra.

Tissue pull: SP - LPJ.

Dr’s point of contact: DIP or PIP of index finger, elbow perpendicular to atlas.

Stabilisation: Stabilise opposite side at same level.

Step out 45 degrees. Lat flex on the same side and rotate away.

LOD: I-S, P-A and L-M.
