It’s using technology to achieve strategic business goals and objectives. It is created to solve a business pb or optimize the business in some ways. EX: Developing a website for the sake of having one doesn’t solve anything. = You need to ask your self what’s the company’s need.

Financial Information System used to control financial accounting and management accounting data within the company

Human Resources Information Systems used to manage the hiring, recruiting, training, job positions, employee profiles, positions, compensation, payroll, and termination processes within a company
What is DATA?
It records facts and figures ( ex: nbr of houses on street)

-Relevant: Must be usable in the decision at hand
-Sufficient: You need enough to make proper decisions

Experience, accumulated learning combined with information, providing analysis and insight based on past experience.
