Describe the legal definition.
A
- A crime is said to occur when a law is broken

A
- It is a black and white view of crime and a limited definition.
- Not every individual who violates the law is caught and punished.
- Many criminal acts are not prosecuted even when they are identified by an authority.

- It is said to cause social injury and harm.

The Courts are based on English common-law.
