A

Among all peoples and tribes of the earth there is a sense of the divine which reveals itself in an external cultus ( variety of religious worship).

24
Q

What is the moral argument?

A

If God does not exist, objective moral values do not exist, but objective moral values exist, good or bad, right and wrong do exist, therefore God does exist.

25
What is the teleological argument?
The world everywhere reveals intelligence, order, harmony and purpose which imply the existence of an intelligent, purposeful being. The odds of a single protein molecule forming by chance is 1 in 10243 (that is a 1 followed by 243 zeros).
26
What is the cosmological argument?
(The First Cause/Design) The fact that the universe exists is evidence. Something can’t come from nothing. The universe displays such an amazing design; there must have been a divine Designer.
27
What is the ontological argument?
The existence of God is logical. (St Anselm) You cannot say that God doesn’t exist/ that there is no God. It begins with the definition of God. …to exist is greater than not to exist and therefore the greatest conceivable being must exist.
28
What is the definition of God
A being than which no greater can be conceived
29
What is the Sub-Divisions of Philosophical Arguments for the Existence of God?
A priori approach - Ontological Argument A posteriori Approach -Cosmological -Teleological -Moral -Historical The existential Approach - Personal Experience (Subjective)
