Instillation meds
introduced in liquid form into a body cavity (eryth eye ointment, nose drops, ear drops)
NAS meds
medicated soln is instilled into the nostrils. Used to administer corticosteroids, the ADH vasopressin and nasal mist flu vaccine
Percutaneous meds
applied to the skin or mucous membranes for absorption (ointments, powders and lotions for skin
transdermal meds
contained in a patch or disk and applied topically
