- Basic models or sketches that inform others and communicate what our ideas look like, behave like, and work like before the real service is launched

- MVP (minimum viable product)
○ “ version of a new product that allows a team to collect the max amount of validated learning about the customer with the least effort- Rapid prototypes
○ Quickly created models used to visulize a product or service
○ Made out of crude paper models - Mock-up prototype
○ 2D or 3D model that look like the finished product but lacks the functionality - High fidelity prototype
○ More sophisticated version of mock-up
○ Users can really interact with it - Lego prototypes
