Static Characters
A static character is one who doesn’t undergo any significant change in a story; Ex. Atticus Finch, Sherlock Holmes.
Dynamic Characters
A dynamic character is a fictional character who undergoes significant change or development throughout a story, whether positive or negative; Ex. Scout Finch, Finnick Odair.
Flat Character
A flat character in storytelling is a character who lacks complexity and depth, often with a limited range of personality traits and a predictable arc; Mr Collins, Karen Smith.
Round Character
A character who is complex, lifelike, and has multiple facets to their personality; Jay Gatsby, Elizabeth Bennet.
