What do you think will change in flight instruction in the future?
I believe there will be many changes in flight instruction in the future, because technology is improving.
- I think that we will use more simulators, because simulators will be more realistic and technological
This will:
- Reduce training costs;
- Improve our airmanship and proficiency;
- Help us understand procedures and checklists better.
Therefore, I believe that better simulators will improve the safety standards and efficiency in the future.
What were the best pieces of advice your flight instructor gave you?
I remember that I have received many great pieces of advice:
- One of the best pieces of advice was to always stay ahead of the aircraft and anticipate what might happen next.
- Another key lesson was to trust the instruments, especially in low visibility conditions where visual cues can be misleading.
- My instructors told me the importance of continuous learning, reminding me that even experienced pilots have room to improve.
These principles have helped me a lot.
How was your training in order to deal with emergency situations?
My training for emergency situations was very good.
- I spent many hours in flight simulators practicing emergencies like engine failures, fires, and rapid decompression;
- I also studied the emergency checklists, and decision-making under pressure.
- I participated in CRM courses and read many manuals, too.
This training gave me the confidence to manage emergencies, always prioritizing safety.
What’s your opinion about flight simulators?
I believe that flight simulators are an amazing tool in aviation training.
- Simulators help us practice complex scenarios, like emergency landings or system failures, without putting anyone at risk.
- They offer realistic environments, helping us sharpen our skills and decision-making in conditions that would be hard to replicate in real life.
Finally, In my opinion flight simulators are essential in developing and maintaining our proficiency, making them mandatory for pilot training.

What is the procedure for loss of communication?
In case we lose communication, we need to:
- FIRST, change the frequency and radio equipment;
- AFTER THAT, squawk 7600 and continue blind transmission;
- THEN, continue on our assigned route to our destination;
- FINALLY, wait for the tower’s light signal and land at our destination airport.
What is ADS-B?
ADS-B stands for Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast.
It is a modern technology that enhances aircraft tracking.
It’s very good, because it:
- Transmits data without pilot input;
- Uses GPS signals to determine the aircraft’s position;
- Provides real-time information to air traffic controllers and other aircraft.
- ADS-B improves air traffic management,
- and enhances flight safety by providing more accurate information.
