A
- sold newspapers
-textile factory jobs ( most dangerous jobs like fixing the machines when they were broken, crawling through small spaces, wiggled through sanitation pipes to clean out waste
-coal mines -cotton fields - shoe shiner -sold small materials
ex. Buttons, fabric, laces, etc. - horse manure street sweepers.

PHYSICAL: -injuries, -death, -sickness, -crime victims, -starvation from being poor
MENTAL: -loneliness -Not in school to further educational career - humiliation -stress -depression -temptation to enter into illegal actions (ex. Mob, organized crime, unorganized crime)
