2 or more of the following symptoms for atleast 3 months:
- infrequent passage of stools
- Passage of hard stools
- Incomplete evacuation and sensation of anorectal blockage

Loads of cause eg
- Drugs
- Abdo bloating
- Local and perianal pain

A
History
If red flags then colonscopy or CT

Treatment of constipation?
A
Laxatives: osmotic preferrable
- Diet: increasing fibre and fluids
- Treat any underlying cause
