1. Unconditional stimulus (getting food) produces unconditioned response (salivating )
2. Conditioned stimulus (getting food whilst a bell rings ) paired with a neutral stimulus (a bell ringing)
3. The neutral stimulus gets associated with he unconditioned stimuli’s and becomes a conditioned stimulus
4. The conditioned stimulus (a bell ringing) now becomes a conditioned response (salivating)
