1. Prevent Waste: Important because there’ll be no waste to clean
2. Maximize Atom Economy: Important because few or no atoms will be wasted
3. Design less hazardous chemical synthesis: Important because it reduces chances of harm to nature, animals, human beings etc.
4. Design safer chemicals and products : safer chemicals mean a safer environment.
5. Use renewable feedstock: important because non-renewable feedstock are depletable, cause waste and are harmful to the environment..
6. Avoid chemical derivatives: Important becaue this can be a waste prevention measure because chemical derivatives cause additional waste
