Who is cc poindexter and why is he not listed as one of the founding jewels?

A

Mr. Poindexter was the oldest and a graduate student of the college of Agriculture. He was interested in establishing a literary (social study) club and not a fraternity. Although he hosted the first meeting of the social study club in 1905 and became the groups president on June 2, 1906 he sent a letter of resignation to the december 4 1906 meeting. That same night the young men voted to become a fraternity. It was not until January 8 1907 that his resignation was officially accepted.

A

421 Albany Street was the residence of CC poindexter which was the location of the first meeting place for the social study club. 411 east state street was the residence of Robert Harold Ogle and Morgan T Phillips (they resided in Mr Archie Singleton house) which was a meeting place of the social study club and later the fraternity.
