what is the pre-raphelite movement?

A

A group of writing and artist who wanted to reject industrialism and modern society return to detailed vivid authentic art focus on beauty nature, emotion and mediaeval themes the key figures Dante Gabriel Rosetti—. she posed for paintings for her brother showing how she understood how women were represented and idealised. Women in the paintings were presented as symbolic of purity and temptation. Rosetti could be influenced by her time as posing to write about women’s experience.
