what are the symptoms of a stroke
A
- numbness or weakness of the face, arm, leg, especially one side of the body (hemiparesis)
- confusion or change in mental status
- trouble speaking or understanding speech
- visual disturbances
- difficulty walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
- sudden severe headache

symptoms of stroke FAST
A
F: facial drooping, a section of the face usually only on one side, that is drooping and hard to move
A: arm weakness, the inablitiy to raise ones arm fully
S: speech difficulties, an inability or difficulty to understand or produce speech
T:Time, if one of the above showing , time is of essence call emergency services or go to the hospital

Diagnosing a Stroke
A
- careful history, including onset of symptoms
- complete physical and neurological exam
- initial focus on Airway
- breathing
- circulation
- CAT SCAN -Immediately
