What is nephroptosis?
Abnormal condition in which the kidney drops into pelvis when patient stands up.
Caused by a lack of supporting pararenal fasciae
Who is predisposed to nephroptosis? Why?
Women post childbirth as pregnancy weakens the ligaments that anchor the kidneys
What serious consequences might arise from nephroptosis?
Bowel obstruction, kidney stones, kidney infections
