Problems:

1. Industrial age values: children are expected to pay full attention, follow orders and do exactly what they have been told.
2. lack of autonomy: there is no chance for the youngsters to make their own decisions since they are expected to follow strict rules and do exactly what they have been told. The problem is that this kind of behavior is not welcome in adulthood, where people are most valued for skills, ranging from creativity and critical thinking to problem-solving, especially in the work environment. Therefore, if those children do not overcome these issues on their own, there is a critical prospect for them to face difficulties in finding a decent job in the future.
3. no room for passion: not only the most basic principle that differs us as human beings, which is our individuality, is ignored in school but also killed.
4. inauthentic learning: students are indirectly forced to memorize concepts to do well in their tests. However, after the exam, they end up forgetting most of what they have learned.

More on that: the basic role of education is to get people to learn. However, it seems the focus of education is not facilitate teaching and learning, but testing. Students are supposed to memorize a bunch of facts to perform well in a standardized exam. The problem is that those facts are soon forgotten after the test is taken, thereby not being hardwired in our brains. In simple words, we do not learn.
