• Serious and/ or imminent danger
• Anytime you think you need immediate assistance

• Mechanical or structural failure
• Loss of all electrical systems

What should you do in an emergency when talking to ATC?

• Stay on assigned code
• you can do anything you need in order to meet the emergency. Just notify ATC as soon as possible

If you have to deviate in an emergency do you have to file a report?

• No report unless they ask for it
• If asked you must report within 48 hours

What should you do if you are at minimum fuel but still in the legal limits?

Answer 5

• Notify ATC that you are at minimum fuel.
• This is not an emergency situation
• Lets ATC know undue delay could cause an emergency situation

What is an urgency situation?

• Not an emergency
• Need assistance before it becomes emergency
