• Engine Fire or Failure in Flight [8]

Answer 1

For affected engine:
1. Condition Lever - FUEL CUTOFF
2. Propeller Governor - FEATHER
3. Firewall Fuel Valve - CLOSE (Extinguisher Push & FW Valve Closed annunciators illuminated)
4. Fire Extinguisher - ACTUATE (if required; Discharged annunciator illuminated)
5. Eng Auto Ignition - OFF
6. Generator - OFF
7. Propeller Synchrophaser - OFF
8. Electrical Load - MONITOR

Question 2

• Engine Fire on Ground [4]

Answer 2

For affected engine:
1. Condition Lever - FUEL CUTOFF
2. Firewall Fuel Valve - CLOSE (Extinguisher Push & FW Valve Closed annunciators illuminated)
3. Starter Switch - STARTER ONLY
4. Fire Extinguisher - ACTUATE (if required; Discharged annunciator illuminated)

Question 3

• Emergency Engine Shutdown on Ground

Question 4

• Engine Failure During Takeoff (at or above V1) - Takeoff Continued [11]

Answer 4

1. Power - MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE
2. Landing Gear - UP (when positive rate established)
3. Airspeed - MAINTAIN V2 to 400’ AGL
4. Propeller (inoperative engine) - VERIFY FEATHERED
5. Airspeed - INCREASE to Vyse (at 400’ AGL minimum)
6. Flaps - UP
7. Climb to 1000’ AGL, then cleanup the inoperative engine:
   a. Condition Lever - FUEL CUTOFF
   b. Propeller Lever - FEATHER
   c. Firewall Fuel Valve - CLOSE (Extinguisher Push & FW Valve Closed annunciators illuminated)
   d. Generator - OFF
   e. Eng Auto Ignition - OFF
8. Autofeather Switch - OFF
9. Propeller Synchrophaser - OFF
10. Brake Deice (if installed) - OFF
11. Electrical Load - MONITOR

Question 5

• Engine Failure in Flight below Vmca [4]

Answer 5

1. Reduce power on operative engine as required to maintain control.
2. Lower nose to accelerate above Vmca.
3. Adjust power as required.
4. Secure affected engine as in ENGINE FIRE OR FAILURE IN FLIGHT.

Question 6

• Smoke & Fumes (Emergency Oxygen Mask Donning) - ENVIRONMENTAL

Answer 6

1. Oxygen Masks - DON
2. Mask Selector Switch - EMERG Position
3. Headsets - DON, or AUDIO SPEAKERS - ON
4. Mic Switches - OXYGEN MASK
5. Cabin Temp Mode - OFF
6. Vent Blower - HIGH
7. Left Bleed Air Valve - PNEU and ENVIR OFF

If smoke decreases:
8. Continue operation with left bleed air off

If smoke does not decrease:
