Hand signaller removes detonator and shows a yellow hand signal

  2. Secure end gangway doors

If someone had fell out, the driver will ask the signaller for a line block
If nobody has fallen out, the driver and signaller will make a plan - re-coupling could be attempted, or customers could be moved to front unit

A
  1. Inform driver you need a controlled evacuation. The driver will call the signaller for signal protection.
  2. Formulate evacuation plan with driver
  3. PA announcement to ask for competent volunteers
  4. PA announcement on how and where the evacuation will take place
  5. Open one door only on cess-side
  6. Place ladder from door to cess
  7. 2 competent people get off and stand at bottom of ladder
  8. 1 competent person stands at top of ladder
  9. 1 competent person ensures people get into a position of safety

What is the train to train evacuation procedure?
1. 2 staff stood on ground below trains, holding up a wheelchair ramp 2. 2 staff (1 on each train) help people walk between trains on the ramp Do not do this if there is any doubt it will not be safe (distance between trains, curvature of track, test ramp yourself before hand)

They must remain on the original train and wait to be assisted by emergency services, or until the train is moved
