1. Immediately notify watch LT
2. Assign officer to take notes concerning events as situation evolves
3. Ensure all inmates are locked down and accounted for
4. Ensure all areas are checked and cleared of inmates
5. Initiate a count of inmates from affected area
6. Notify watch Lt if Inmate is accounted for
7. Ensure escapee’s living area is searched for any information & property inventoried
8. Ensure all property belonging to escapee is stored in property room and placed in purge room
9. Ensure escapee’s institutional file is delivered to watch Lt.
