when faced with a potential issue, I would review the ethics decision tree which would help lead me to a course of action or non-action.
for example, if encountered a potential unethical decision. I would review the decision tree which would outline, whether I had the full I had sufficient facts on the issue, is it legal and inline with the RICS Rules of conduct, if I have consulted the appropriate people to make an informed decision and if I have clear reasoning in reaching the decision. If so It will lead me to either act or not.

What is your companies complaints handling procedure?
- Complaints need to be directed to the Complaints handling officers
- Once received, the CHO will contact the 3d party within two days, to inform them CHO understanding of the circumstances leading to the complaint. CHO will invite comments to be made in relation to the issue.
- Following the initial discussion the complaint remains unresolved, it will be investigated by CHO or an appropriate director who has been appointed by CHO to deal with the complaint
- The person dealing with the complaint, upon completion of their investigations and within 28 days of receipt of the written summary of the complaint, write to the party to inform them of the outcome of their investigation with what actions have or will be taken.
- Once informed of the outcome of the investigation if the 3rd party is still dissatisfied with the handling of the complaint they will have the option of requesting the matter either initially be reviewed by the CEO or referring directly to an appropriate independent such as ADR.
