Precautions of Etomidate
A
myoclonus (twitching), excitement and retching if used alone without premedication
suppresses adrenocortical functions up to 3-6 hours in dogs after a single IV injection
do not use in long term steroid use patients or with hypoadrenocorticism
not to be used as a CRI due to reasons above
