Hydrant FF equipped with a hydrant wrench and 2 1/2” gate, test the hydrant
After the hydrant is deemed serviceable, the ___FF will KEY THE HYDRANT by pulling sufficient 3 1/2” hose from the hose bed and take turn around the hydrant?
HOSE FF (NOT HYDRANT FF)
-HOSE FF then mounts the backstop and prepares to use signal buzzer
Hydrant FF will?
-maintain the key
-connect the 3 1/2” hose to the 4 1/2:” outlet
-IF TIME PERMITS, connect the 2 1/2” gate
WAIT for ECC notification, before opening hydrant
At SLOW rate of speed, playing out hose, the pumper process to the vicinity of the fire building, NOT to impeded the positioning of a ladder company…
HOSE FF rides the rear step and monitors the playing out of hose
Supplying BOOSTER WATER upon OFFICERS ORDERS shall be give priority over hooking up the in line supply line….
Initial handline stretch will be controlled by Door (5 FF engine) or ECC (4 FF ENGINE) until relieved by control FF
Booster water is used…?
NOTIFY Engine Officer and notify Engine OFFICER she n back to hydrant water
Notes for ILP:
ECC of the ILP should have water supply augmented when the INTAKE pressure drops below 15 PSI.
WHEN INTAKE IS low (30-40 psi), residual pressure may not be capable of sustaining 2 lines
Following signals used form back step buzzer:
ONE BUZZER- EMERGENCY STOP
TWO BUZZER- HOSE FF in position, pumper to proceed
THREE BUZZER TONES-area to rear of pumper is clear for backing up operations and under proper supervision
