Executive function: used inhibition tasks (E.F) which has previously found increased activation in Autism. To contrast this study found decreased activation in anterior cingulate cortex- associated with inhibition. Those with Autism showed lower-levels of synchronisation between inhibitory network and parietal regions therefore inhibitory circuit is activated atypically and less synchronised- connectivity is disorganised.
