How do you know if exercise test was sub maximal?

A

-A test is submaximal if it is stopped before a heart rate of 85% of (age adjusted) maximum heart rate is reached.

A

-HR and BP do not increase at a rate you’d expect in response to exercise

What things should you include in an ETT report?

A

-Duration of test?
-What protocol was used?
-Max HR? Was test sub maximal?
-Normal or blunted HR and BP response?
-ST segment displacement? Which leads? How much? Which stage did it occur?
-Did patient indicate chest pain/discomfort?
-Any arrhythmias?
